Special Needs Fund (SNF)

The Special Needs Fund (SNF) provides financial support to high financial need undergraduate students and graduate students to assist with health-related expenses such as deductibles, copays, coinsurance or local transportation to off-campus providers that is not covered by insurance, financial aid or other University resources.

The Special Needs Fund is supported by the Auxiliary to the Isabella McCosh Infirmary.

  • Once a request is submitted, the review process can take 7-10 business days, and decisions will be sent to students by email.
  • Financial need of undergraduate students requesting funding is determined through the Undergraduate Financial Aid Office.
  • Funding does not exceed $300 each academic year, and required documentation must be submitted by May 15 to receive funding. Unused funds from the previous academic year do not roll over.
  • Students must submit a new application or email [email protected] each academic year to confirm eligibility.
  • Due to institutional limitations, the SNF can only provide support to an actively enrolled student.
